DAFFIAMA-BUSSIE-ISSA NDC CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVES COMMISERATES WITH PEOPLE OF DAFFIAMA.

  The Daffiama-Bussie-Issa NDC Constituency Executives on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Hon Dr Sebastian Sandaare today, Thursday 30th March, 2023 visited the people of Daffiama to commiserate with the affected people of the heavy rainstorm that riffed off over 80 houses including the District Ghana Education Service Office and two other schools. On Monday 27th March, 2023, at about 4:00PM, a heavy rainstorm struck the community with many houses riffed off, others collapsed. The District GES office, Kay Robert KG and JHS, Dankyelle Tindaama Primary and Junior High School were all affected. Officers at the GES office are equally worried and unstable as their official duties are disrupted. GRNMA Donates To a Member In Nadowli-Kaleo District Of The Upper West Region

  GRNMA Donating cheque to a member The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA) through its district branch in the Nadowli/Kaleo area has donated an amount of Six Thousand Ghana cedis to a member as fire disaster support. The member, Mr. Nicholas Papunaa unfortunately had his room razed down by fire on the 18th January 2023 while he was on duty in the hospital.  At the presentation of the cheque to the member, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Opoku-Amposah expressed gratitude to the President of the Association and the entire leadership of GRNMA for the very sound welfare policies they have in place for their members. He noted specifically the Guest Houses built across the country and the associated welfare component for the benefit of members and commended the leadership for their foresight. Assembly Member For Goriyiri Electoral Area Outlines Pressing Challenges of His Electoral Area

  The Assembly member for Goriyiri Electoral Area in Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region, Hon. Nestor Mwinterebo enumerates some pressing challenges that bedevil his electoral area.  In a statement dated 13th March 2023, addressed to his electorates, the young assembly member outlines the challenges as fellows; 1. Fencing Vogonni community forest reserve ; It is a community based forest with different kinds of trees including palm nut trees where community members go to harvest for sale, for domestic use like palm nut soup and process nuts into oil locally. The community has been transplanting younger trees and creating fire belt annually to protect the said virgin forest, but because it is not fenced and protected, Fulani herdsmen's activities within the area have been destroying the good intentions of the community and if fenced will have direct impact to the community members both socially and economically since the place stands the chance of becoming a tourist...

Kings and Queens of McCoy College of Education Donate to St. Joseph’s Orphanage at Jirapa.

As part of the initiatives of giving back to society, the 2022 Kings and Queens of McCoy College of Education, Nadowli have on Sunday 12 March 2023 donated a number of items to support children at the St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Jirapa. The orphanage located at Jirapa in the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region currently has 15 children, comprising of 7 females 8 males. The items donated include soaps, washing powder, tins of Milo, Nido, Sardines, biscuits, toilet rolls, clothes, tomato paste, an undisclosed amount of money among other items. Speaking at the handing over ground, the 2022 Miss McCoy, Benedicta says what they have donated is the little way of supporting the needy in society “even though it may not be enough, we plead you accept the little that we brought” she added.
