Fian Youth Association Supports Fian Health Center

Representatives of the Fian Youth Association recently visited the Fian Health Center to discuss challenges affecting healthcare delivery with staff and donate essential items, including mattresses, bed sheets, a working table, chairs, and a wall clock. The youth leaders assured the facility of their continued support and called on government and the District Assembly to expand and upgrade the health center to a polyclinic, citing the increasing patient load and inadequate space. They noted that patients often have to be treated on the bare floor due to limited capacity. The Fian Health Center serves several communities and is a critical facility for emergency services, accident patients, and referrals. The youth group's donation and advocacy aim to improve primary healthcare in the district. Young Business Mogul, Jonas Dorsah, Wins Best Farmer's Award in DBI

  A 36-year-old entrepreneur from Bussie, Jonas Dorsah, popularly known as "Bozing Man", has been crowned the Best Farmer in Daffiama, Bussie, Issa (DBI). This surprise win has left many in awe, as the young businessman has been keeping his agricultural pursuits under wraps. Dorsah's farming empire spans across rice, livestock, yam, maize, soybeans, and sorghum production. His hard work and dedication have earned him a brand-new tricycle and the coveted Best Farmer award for the district. Speaking to the media, Dorsah revealed that he's been farming seriously for 15 years, urging the youth to consider agriculture as a viable business opportunity. DBI:MP Surprises Farmers with Tricycles at Farmers' Day Celebration

The Daffiama, Bussie, Issa lawmaker, Hon Sebastian Sandaare, donated three brand-new tricycles as special awards at this year's Farmers' Day celebration in Bussie. The event recognized the outstanding achievements of farmers in the district. The tricycles were awarded to the best Disabled Farmer, best Youth Farmer, and District Best Farmer of the year. Hon Sandaare stated that the awards aim to encourage farmers in the district to invest in agriculture, supporting the government's "Feed Ghana" program. The district is known for subsistence farming, but government initiatives have promoted large-scale commercial farming, with significant production of maize, sorghum, yam, soybeans, and groundnuts. BONO EAST YOUTH LEADERS RECEIVED TRAINING ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION

  Thirty(30) selected youth leaders representing African Youth & Adolescent  Network(AfriYAN) drawn from the four (4) UNFPA working districts in the region( Sene East, Sene West, Pru East & Techiman Metropolis; received  intensive 2-day training on the 25-26 June, 2025 at AJ Plaza Hotel-Techiman.  The program  partnered by UNFPA, Bono East Regional Coordinating Council and National Youth Authority had been targeted to train participants as facilitators, peer educators, advocates & volunteers on Reproductive Health Education as well as Sexual & Gender- Based Violence( SGBV).  The training covers topics among others like: Reproductive Health Sexual & Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)  Youth Leadership & Facilitation Skills Youth Advocacy, Peer Education & Volunteerism Record Keeping Mad. BONO EAST REGIONAL YOUTH AUTHORITY EMBARKS ON A VISIT TO REGIONAL YEA OFFICE.

The Bono East Regional Youth Authority recently visited the Regional Youth Employment Authority office to strengthen their collaborative bonds and explore opportunities for youth development in the region. This move aims to tackle pressing issues like youth unemployment and drug abuse in Ghana ¹. The visit, which took place on March 25, 2025, was a working visit to build a rapport with the Agency and discuss ways to empower young people in the region. The Youth Authority has expressed its commitment to championing youth empowerment and collaborating with stakeholders to create a better future for young people. Hon. Sebastian Sandaare Donates to Support The Building of a Maternity Block at Wogu

  The member of Parliament for Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) Constituency, Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare on 31st December 2022, at an annual durbar of Wogu Development Association (WODA) donates a cheque of Gh¢10,000.00 to the Wogu community towards the building of a maternity block and Gh¢1000.00 to support the activities of the association. Wogu, a community in the Daffiama Bussie Issa District, initiated the building of a maternity block for the CHPS compound in Wogu as part of the efforts of the community to promote quality health care in the community. Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Sandaare commended the Honourable Assembly member of the Wogu electoral area, Hon. Infinity Sparta Refutes Claims That His Song is a Political Song

  Infinity Sparta, Artist The Upper West based Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Infinity Sparta on Tuesday December 20 cleared the airwaves on claims that his latest track titled "The Government Hear We" is being politicized. In an interview with the entertainment news host of Tumpaani FM, King Process, Sparta explains that his track "The Government Hear We" is devoid of partisan politics, however it is a message to inform the government that things are not going right in the country.  He states that the youth are suffering and as a youth he feels the pains of his colleagues in this country, hence the government have to hear the voices of the people of this country.
