Infinity Sparta Refutes Claims That His Song is a Political Song

  Infinity Sparta, Artist The Upper West based Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Infinity Sparta on Tuesday December 20 cleared the airwaves on claims that his latest track titled "The Government Hear We" is being politicized. In an interview with the entertainment news host of Tumpaani FM, King Process, Sparta explains that his track "The Government Hear We" is devoid of partisan politics, however it is a message to inform the government that things are not going right in the country.  He states that the youth are suffering and as a youth he feels the pains of his colleagues in this country, hence the government have to hear the voices of the people of this country. 23-year-old Benedicta Arhen wins Miss McCoy, 2022

A 23 year old level 200 student of the McCoy College of Education has the bragging right of being the crown owner of their famous SRC sponsored beauty pageant. This year's contest saw seven beautiful young ladies battling it out in an unprecedentedly fierce contest.  The multitalented dark-skinned lady however distinguished herself beating her closest contender Lawrencia Abea.  Benedicta got the thousands who gathered at the McCoy Assembly Hall amazed with her enviable fashion and design skills on stage. In a matter of 5 minutes, she was able to design different styles of dresses with Ghanaian fabrics. Chepong Don-ore Paulinus, who goes by the stage name Harmless Vid, one of the popular rappers in the Upper West region condemns the idea of artists involving in "beefing" and describes it as "bad". "Beefing" is a popular term used in the music fraternity to refer to the act of using music to insult colleague artists or other persons.   An entertainment pundit and presenter at Radio Progress has lambasted organizers of the famous Grass to Grace Album launch for their inability to prepare a befitting stage for the show. He described the situation as shameful as many patronized the show only to see a poorly prepared stage without carpet, proper lightning and decoration. Even though he has applauded wisdom music for having launched one of the best albums, he could not understand how such a big show would be characterised with such defects. He added that no big artist like Samini or Wiyaala will accept to perform on such a shameful stage.    Wendy Bogunluri is a 3rd year Biochemistry student of CKT University of Technology and Applied Sciences, formerly UDS Navrongo campus. She is 21 years of age and a native of Owlo in the Daffiama, Bussie, Issa District of the Upper West. She is bold and passion driven which has led her to participate in this year’s Miss Tourism Ghana Competition.  Miss tourism is a competition that promotes tourism in Ghana and the winner gets to represent Ghana in an international Pageant. Highlife music is our unique identity – Shatta Wale tells musicians

  Award-winning musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has urged Ghanaian musicians to produce more of the Highlife music genre. According to him, it is the only music genre that can give Ghanaian artistes some identity abroad. He added that, highlife music has a beautiful history of being the mother genre of veteran highlife musicians such as; Agya Koo Nimo, Ampofo Adjei Snr and Nana Tuffuor among other renowned acts.   It appears the hitherto the unending and fierce beef between Dj Galaxy Village Boi of wfm and Angaa-mwine Dj Anada has seen an end to the surprise of many followers.  The two popular DJs have been throwing "missiles" at each other for the past three years using their social media handles.  The cause of this fierce rivalry is unknown but entertainment pundits speculate that both wants to be seen as the best in the Region.  Beefing has become a norm in the entertainment industry in Ghana but here in the Upper West Region, it has reached a level no one cherishes as industry players keep on dishing  the other just for supremacy.
