The GRASAG Judiciary Board has annulled the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIIDS) GRASAG elections following an election petition filed by one of the contenders and 10 others.  The petitioners alleged irregularities, fraud, and a lack of credibility in the electoral register, among other issues. The petition was filed under the GRASAG constitution, which gives parties the right to challenge the validity of an election after the release of provisional results. The election was held on 2nd May 2026. The presidential race was fiercely contested between Magnus Balanoe Sunnabo and Mathew Azaang. On 3rd May 2026, the Electoral Commission released the provisional results as mandated by the constitution.  Mr. Mathew Azaang won with 395 votes, while Mr. Magnus Balanoe Sunnabo trailed with 394 votes—a difference of just one vote. The Digital Parliament, a popular youth group based in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, today, visited the Bahass Mental Home and Rehabilitation Center in Wa, Upper West Region, to show their support. They donated 5 bags of rice, 15 packs of assorted soft drinks, 4 gallons of frytol oil, and GHC 2,000 cash to the foundation. The founder and CEO of Bahass Foundation, Mr. Eliasu Baba Yussif, expressed gratitude for the donation and appealed for further support to complete their permanent structure, currently under construction. The foundation provides care and support to mentally ill individuals, offering food, clothing, and medical treatment. The Digital Parliament's CEO and President, Mr. Yakubu Karim, emphasized their commitment to helping marginalized groups and promised to continue supporting the foundation. He also encouraged fellow Upper West residents to contribute to the Bahass Foundation's cause.

Sanitation is a vital aspect of governance, given its direct impact on public health. Effective sanitation management is indispensable to the well-being of citizens, as it helps prevent diseases and reduces healthcare costs.
