Hon. Rose Puozaa Unites Dakpaa and Tuori Through Memorial Match

  A football match meant for goals delivered something far greater, peace and unity, when Hon. Rose Puozaa, Assembly Member for the Dakpaa-Tuori Electoral Area, brought together the youth of both communities for a powerful memorial game on April 19, 2026. According to the Assembly Member, Dakpaa and Tuori have shared bonds of kinship, yet moments of youthful rivalry, especially during football and other social gatherings, have sometimes sparked tension. Determined to rewrite that story, Hon. Rose Puozaa organised the maiden memorial football match, which stands out as a sport at the heart of the rivalry, in order to inspire reconciliation. Digital Parliament Supports Bahass Foundation: A Gesture of Kindness

The Digital Parliament, a popular youth group based in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, today, visited the Bahass Mental Home and Rehabilitation Center in Wa, Upper West Region, to show their support. They donated 5 bags of rice, 15 packs of assorted soft drinks, 4 gallons of frytol oil, and GHC 2,000 cash to the foundation. The founder and CEO of Bahass Foundation, Mr. Eliasu Baba Yussif, expressed gratitude for the donation and appealed for further support to complete their permanent structure, currently under construction. The foundation provides care and support to mentally ill individuals, offering food, clothing, and medical treatment. The Digital Parliament's CEO and President, Mr. Yakubu Karim, emphasized their commitment to helping marginalized groups and promised to continue supporting the foundation. He also encouraged fellow Upper West residents to contribute to the Bahass Foundation's cause.

The DBI Assembly, under the leadership of Hon James Wor, should be commended for its commendable efforts in sanitation management. Sanitation is a vital aspect of governance, given its direct impact on public health. Effective sanitation management is indispensable to the well-being of citizens, as it helps prevent diseases and reduces healthcare costs. The adage "prevention is better than cure" is particularly relevant in this context. Over the years, sanitation and environmental management have remained a conundrum. SPEAKER BAGBIN RESCUES UWR YOUTH WING SECRETARIAT

  The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has once again demonstrated his commitment to party development by donating Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC20,000) to cover two years' rent for the Upper West Regional Youth Secretariat. This donation also includes six months of electricity and DStv bills. DCE Donates to Fian KG & Primary, Breaks Ground for New Block

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama, Bussie, Issa,  Hon. James Wor , has distributed school uniforms and learning materials to students of Fian KG and Primary School as part of his efforts to support education in the district. The donation was made during a visit to the school, where he emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, noting that their future depends on their current efforts. The distribution was a sideline activity of a sod-cutting ceremony for a new KG block, a project initiated by the DCE to address the school's pressing need for more space. According to the DCE, the current KG facility is congested, and the new block is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment for the increasing number of students. Fian Youth Association Supports Fian Health Center

Representatives of the Fian Youth Association recently visited the Fian Health Center to discuss challenges affecting healthcare delivery with staff and donate essential items, including mattresses, bed sheets, a working table, chairs, and a wall clock. The youth leaders assured the facility of their continued support and called on government and the District Assembly to expand and upgrade the health center to a polyclinic, citing the increasing patient load and inadequate space. They noted that patients often have to be treated on the bare floor due to limited capacity. The Fian Health Center serves several communities and is a critical facility for emergency services, accident patients, and referrals. The youth group's donation and advocacy aim to improve primary healthcare in the district.
