Image
For Immediate Release 28/08/2023 STOP THE ‘MONEYCRACY’ AND CHANNEL THE MONEY INTO FEEDING OUR FUTURE LEADERS IN OUR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS ʺVote buying and vote selling obstruct our democratic processes, yet these remain pervasive in many developing countriesʺ. It is against this back drop that the Regional Communication outfit of the NDC in the Upper West Region wishes to condemn in no uncertain terms the allegations of vote buying that characterised the just ended NPP super delegates conference which took place across the country on Saturday, 26th August, 2023 of which the UWR was not excluded. Allegations of the Vice President and his team sharing a minimum of GH₵ 5,000 each day for about a week to the election in the UWR leaves much to be desired. By sharing so much money to delegates to vote are signs of a failed candidate trying to impose himself on the electorate. If indeed Dr, Bawumia had held up his side of the bargain, his record and the condition of the citizens would hav...
