    The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has stated that Parliament is working towards the creation of a Museum and an Archival Department to enable the institution to preserve and share with citizens, relics of the Legislature. Speaker Bagbin said this when he received three hundred copies of a supply chain application book from the Author, Professor Douglas Boateng.   The Rt. Hon speaker bemoaned the fact that reading culture among the youth is at an all-time low.   The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Hon. James Klutse Avedzi has assured officers from the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that have been cited in the Auditor-General’s Report causing infractions that the Committee does not exist to intimate those who appear before it. According to the Chairman, the mandate of the Committee is to play its constitutional mandated oversight role and make sure that recommendations in the Auditor-General’s Report are carried out through the required rules and regulations therefore officers should not feel intimidated when taking the oath.   The Chairman of the Business Committee Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has hinted that the Minister of Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta is expected to present the Mid-Year Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana and Supplementary Estimates for the 2022 Financial Year to the Honourable House on Wednesday 13th July 2022.   Considering the high cost of living including food and transportations in the country, it’s the expectation of the Members of Parliament that the Minister of Finance will use the opportunity to announce some relief measures the Government is putting in place to cushion Ghanaians.
