    The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has stated that Parliament is working towards the creation of a Museum and an Archival Department to enable the institution to preserve and share with citizens, relics of the Legislature. Speaker Bagbin said this when he received three hundred copies of a supply chain application book from the Author, Professor Douglas Boateng.   The Rt. Hon speaker bemoaned the fact that reading culture among the youth is at an all-time low. He referred to Ghanaian scholars, who in the past stood shoulder to shoulder with world leaders and said this was only made possible because they took knowledge acquisition very seriously.   The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Hon. James Klutse Avedzi has assured officers from the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that have been cited in the Auditor-General’s Report causing infractions that the Committee does not exist to intimate those who appear before it. According to the Chairman, the mandate of the Committee is to play its constitutional mandated oversight role and make sure that recommendations in the Auditor-General’s Report are carried out through the required rules and regulations therefore officers should not feel intimidated when taking the oath. A newly formed non political coalition by name "Coalition For Justice for Lawyer Richard Badombie" is set to embark on its maiden demonstration on the streets of Jirapa to demand justice for the outspoken lawyer who was gunned down by unknown assailants somewhere in May, 2022.
