DBI district director of education eulogized for his efforts at Improving Standards.

Denis Andaban, who is popularly known as " The village boy from DBI" has rained praises on the Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) district education director, Mr. Samson Anawine Antgembero for his commitment and hard works in improving high standard of education in the district even few months after being posted to the district.

Daffiama, Bussie, Issa is one of the smallest districts in the Upper West region which was carved out from the then Nadowli district in 2012. It has over the years been battling for academic excellence but it is apparrent that so many challenges are thwarting the efforts of the directorate.

However, according to Denis Andaban, a known critique of leaders, things are improving under the administration of Mr. A Samson. He established the fact that, the director does not only sit in his office like many other leaders, but goes round the schools with his officers to ensure effective monitoring and supervision. His action is that which has relatively ensured discipline among teachers. Despite the obvious logistical constraints, the directorate is poised at changing the status quo of poor academic performance. It takes a leader by example, like him, to inspire his team to do what they are doing currently.

The communicator, to the surprise of many political watchers and pundits, also acknowledged the contribution of the District Assembly under the leadership of Nadi Imoro Sanda. He added that his research shows that the Assembly in 2019 alone procured about 500 dual desks for students and that other interventions are being taken to address some of the challenges ranging from logistics, infrastructural issues, finances among others affecting teaching and learning.

He however made a clarion call on the Assembly to do more to salvage the dire situation of the Ghana Education Service.

He assured the public, especially the DBI constituents that the MP is working tirelessly, in collaboration with all other stateholders to address the numerous challenges.

He passionately emphasized that the Ghana Education Service (GES) is generally underresourced and has not got much to work effectively hence the need for all stakeholders to support the directorate in improving high educational standards in the DBI district.

He concluded by urging the Directorate and teachers in the district not to be discouraged by the circumstances because he is certain that most of the issues will be approached radically by the Member of Parliament and the Assembly within the shortest possible time.
