Nadowli District Hospital's ANC Unit Hosts Inspirational Dinner and Awards Ceremony

The Unit of Nadowli District Hospital organised a dinner and awards ceremony to recognise the outstanding contributions of its staff members. The event, which brought together key stakeholders, was aimed at boosting staff morale and encouraging excellence in service delivery.

The occasion was graced by notable guests, including the outgoing District Health Director, Madam Phoebe Balagumyetime,  Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel Opoku Amponsah, and Assembly Member for Kalserah Electoral Area, Mr. Boniface Kpan.

In her remarks, Madam Phoebe Balagumyetime commended the Unit, led by Madam Stella Bayor, for organizing the event, citing it as a model for other units within the hospital to emulate. She expressed her joy at seeing staff come together to recognize and appreciate each other's efforts, and encouraged other units to follow suit. She added, "I encouraged them to work as a team amongst themselves and those in the subdistricts for continuity of care. This has been a challenge, but the staff at the unit have been very supportive, especially when clients are referred from distant communities for services such as scans and laboratory. Each time I'm called to attend to them, they quickly respond, making clients feel comfortable and comply with referrals."

Madam Stella Bayor, the organizer of the event, explained that the initiative was born out of a desire to motivate staff, noting that regional and national awards often overlooked the efforts of deserving individuals. "We wanted to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our staff," she said.

Dr. Opoku Emmanuel Amponsah, the Medical Director, praised the Unit for the event and urged staff to continue providing quality care.

Assembly Member Boniface Kpan expressed his support for the initiative and pledged to continue advocating for the needs of the hospital.

The hospital administrator, Inusah Osman, was also in attendance, underscoring the hospital's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote staff welfare and excellence in service delivery.

The event culminated in the presentation of awards to outstanding staff members, recognizing their tireless efforts in providing quality services to the community.
