Ghanaian Educational System is Very Faulty - Amatus Bantaapuong Writes

We must look at our educational system with a different lens.

We were taught in basic school that the colonial masters built schools, hospitals, railways, and many others. The education system failed greatly to temper our emotions about the so-called good things they did. Because of this, we are not able to feel the pain of facing reality.

So we grew up with the feeling that they did more good than bad for us. This reminds me of the words of Professor Briamah of Tamale, who says, "We have to rethink, as Ghanaians, the kind of things we teach our children."

Let me emphatically state that there is nothing impactful about the colonial masters.

The first two hospitals that were built in Ghana by the colonial masters are the Kolebu Hospital, Ridge Hospital, and the Psychiatric Hospital, all in the Greater Accra region.

The first two (Kolebu Hospital and Ridge Hospital) were built for their own interests and never for the good people of this country. If they could carry these, they would have done so. The psychiatric hospital was built for natives who had mental problems because they saw us as mentally ill.

The railways were for their own interests. If not, why didn't you see any of them passing through northern Ghana? It simply says that there was nothing in the north they were interested in for mortgages.

The education system should inculcate the pains to have the spirit to fight for the betterment of society; otherwise, we will continue to be slaves to them in all aspects of our lives.

Ancient philosophers like Plato and Aristotle taught us the importance of education. They said that the easiest way to finish a country is to inject into their educational system, and you are done with them. Aristotle said that education is bitter, but the fruits of it are sweet. Plato also made us understand that education is teaching our children to desire the right things. The direction in which education starts for a man will determine his future life.

In the book of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, "The Last Stage of Imperialism," he tells Africans the need to unite and build one Africa. He said they are not gone; they will come in a different form, and that form will be dangerous to the lives of Africans.

We need to develop the painful spirit of Nkrumah to fight them mentally.

We can achieve this when we have a free political system. Our political system is not giving us the way to achieve this. Simple because of democracy. Democracy is for civilized people. We really don't understand democracy in Ghana and Africa. "It is not for small-brain people." This also reminds me of the words of Aristotle, who said that democracy is the worst system of government simply because of "majority." Carry the votes." He said that a large group of foolish people can form a majority.

The leaders of our country, Ghana, have allowed the west to inject into our education system. Our leaders are changing all the relevant subjects at the basic school level, which was in any case relevant.

In conclusion, leaders should prioritize the education system with all seriousness. The young ones must accept the spirit of "Nkrumasm" so as to resist that evil plan by the West. We must have a strong political system to be able to fight mentally for posterity.
