Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament

In an attempt to foster unity and promote sporting activities in the Upper West Region, Azumah Resources Ghana Limited a gold exploration company located in Nadowli has organized a two-day  volleyball tournament on Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, 2024 at Nadowli in the Nadowli-Kaleo district of the Upper West Region of which Lambussie Young Stars emerged the overall champions after going through unbeaten in the tournament. .  The 2024 edition of the tournament happens to be the fifth edition of the tournament of which nine volleyball teams participated and they included Wa Supreme Fingers, Lawra Infinite Mercies, Jirapa Hoppers, Nadowli Spring Fingers, Wa City Stars, Wa Mighty Stars, Tumu Great Fingers and Nandom Mighty Hands.  Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tournament, Mr. Selorm Seshie, Manager of Minds Geology at Azumah Resources Ghana Limited highlighted that, the main purpose of the annual volleyball tournament is to foster good relationship amon...

Azumah Resources Ghana Limited Organizes 5th Edition of a Volleyball Tournament

As part of the corporate responsibilities of Azumah Resources Ghana Limited, a gold exploration company located at Nadowli in the Upper West Region, the company has for the fifth time organized a volleyball tournament in Nadowli the district capital of the Nadowli-Kaleo district. The two day tournament which is slated for Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, 2024 includes nine volleyball teams selected across the Upper West Region to compete for various awards including the ultimate trophy which will go to the overall winning team.   Denis Andaban, a native of the Fian community, recently celebrated his birthday in November. To mark the occasion, he decided to extend the joy to students from his hometown. Instead of receiving Cakes, students from Fian Tendanba JHS, Fian JHS, and Fian Primary School were thrilled to receive exercise books, a kind gesture that overwhelmed the schoolchildren. Prof. TITUS K. BEYUO DONATED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO LAMBUSSIE HEALTH DIRECTORATE

Prof. Titus K. Beyuo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Lambussie constituency, has made a significant donation to the Lambussie District Health Directorate, valued at GH¢102,000. This generous gesture aims to address the numerous health challenges faced by the community, which has a population of over 50,000. Donated Medical Equipment includes: 1. 40 Temperature Guns to ensure accurate temperature readings 2. 325 Surgical Guns for enhanced surgical care 3. 10,000 Nose Masks to prevent the spread of airborne diseases 4. NCCE EMPOWERS YOUTH TO PROMOTE PEACEFUL ELECTION

  The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) is taking proactive steps to ensure peaceful elections in Ghana. On Tuesday, November 12, they organized an event at St. Augustine Senior High School in Charikpong to empower youth in promoting peace and community safety. This initiative is crucial as Ghana prepares for the upcoming December elections. NCCE representative, Mr. Dominic Bawakyelenuo, emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and tolerance among community members. He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence and encouraged community members to work together to maintain peace. The term is derived from the Greek word demokratia, which was coined from demos meaning” people” and kratos meaning “rule” in middle of the 5th century BCE to denote the political systems in some Greek city-states, notably Athens. It is therefore a system of government in which laws, policies, leadership, and major decisions of a state or other polity are directly or indirectly decided by the people. Democracy is not necessarily about elections, but the fair distributing of the national cake, protection and respect of human rights, tolerance of varies views, and more. A POLITICAL MYOPIA refers to the tendency of politicians to prioritize short-term gains over long-term benefits of the general good. The concept is often used to describe the narrow focus of politicians on their next election or political survival, rather than considering the broader implications of their decisions on the general public.
