NCCE EMPOWERS YOUTH TO PROMOTE PEACEFUL ELECTION

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) is taking proactive steps to ensure peaceful elections in Ghana. On Tuesday, November 12, they organized an event at St. Augustine Senior High School in Charikpong to empower youth in promoting peace and community safety. This initiative is crucial as Ghana prepares for the upcoming December elections.

NCCE representative, Mr. Dominic Bawakyelenuo, emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and tolerance among community members.

He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence and encouraged community members to work together to maintain peace.

Mr. Bawakyelenuo highlighted the importance of reporting suspicious activities to the Ghana Police Command to promote peaceful elections.

District Police  Commander, Mr. James Ankam, encouraged youth to become peace ambassadors in their communities.

The NCCE's efforts align with their strategic focus areas for the 2024 general elections, which include promoting peaceful elections and combating violence. By engaging youth and emphasizing civic responsibility, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, the NCCE aims to foster a peaceful electoral process.
