DBI Assembly's Sanitation Efforts: A Model for Others?

The DBI Assembly, under the leadership of Hon James Wor, should be commended for its commendable efforts in sanitation management. Sanitation is a vital aspect of governance, given its direct impact on public health. Effective sanitation management is indispensable to the well-being of citizens, as it helps prevent diseases and reduces healthcare costs. The adage "prevention is better than cure" is particularly relevant in this context. Over the years, sanitation and environmental management have remained a conundrum. Despite government efforts, many Local Assemblies have not prioritized environmental cleanliness, often relying heavily on private companies like Zionlion.  However, the NDC government introduced the National Sanitation Day initiative to promote community involvement and environmental cleanliness. SPEAKER BAGBIN RESCUES UWR YOUTH WING SECRETARIAT

  The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has once again demonstrated his commitment to party development by donating Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC20,000) to cover two years' rent for the Upper West Regional Youth Secretariat. This donation also includes six months of electricity and DStv bills. The Speaker's support is a significant boost to the Youth Wing, enabling them to focus on their mission to develop the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region. The Regional Youth Organizer, Hon Basiara Sankara, expressed his gratitude, stating that the Speaker's generosity is not new, as he has consistently supported the Youth Wing in the past. DCE Donates to Fian KG & Primary, Breaks Ground for New Block

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama, Bussie, Issa,  Hon. James Wor , has distributed school uniforms and learning materials to students of Fian KG and Primary School as part of his efforts to support education in the district. The donation was made during a visit to the school, where he emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, noting that their future depends on their current efforts. The distribution was a sideline activity of a sod-cutting ceremony for a new KG block, a project initiated by the DCE to address the school's pressing need for more space. According to the DCE, the current KG facility is congested, and the new block is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment for the increasing number of students.
