BONO EAST YOUTH LEADERS RECEIVED TRAINING ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION

 




Thirty(30) selected youth leaders representing African Youth & Adolescent  Network(AfriYAN) drawn from the four (4) UNFPA working districts in the region( Sene East, Sene West, Pru East & Techiman Metropolis; received  intensive 2-day training on the 25-26 June, 2025 at AJ Plaza Hotel-Techiman. 


The program  partnered by UNFPA, Bono East Regional Coordinating Council and National Youth Authority had been targeted to train participants as facilitators, peer educators, advocates & volunteers on Reproductive Health Education as well as Sexual & Gender- Based Violence( SGBV).

 The training covers topics among others like:


Reproductive Health

Sexual & Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) 

Youth Leadership & Facilitation Skills

Youth Advocacy, Peer Education & Volunteerism


Record Keeping


Mad. Julian Harison Mutaah, the focal person representing UNFPA & BERCC enticed the participants to identify reproductive health challenges affecting the young people in their respective communities and executive pragmatic interventions to address them in order to safeguard the future of our young people. 

On his part, the  Bono East Regional Head of National Youth Authority(NYA); Mr. Emmanuel Ahlodza pledged the authority's unflinching support in  addressing reproductive health issues in fulfillment of Health & Wellbeing thematic intervention of the authority.

Mr. Nelson Asusiya on behalf of the colleague participants expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the exposure  given and pledged their commitment in making a significant impact using the knowledge, skills and strategies acquired.
