23-year-old Benedicta Arhen wins Miss McCoy, 2022



A 23 year old level 200 student of the McCoy College of Education has the bragging right of being the crown owner of their famous SRC sponsored beauty pageant.


This year's contest saw seven beautiful young ladies battling it out in an unprecedentedly fierce contest. 


The multitalented dark-skinned lady however distinguished herself beating her closest contender Lawrencia Abea. 


Benedicta got the thousands who gathered at the McCoy Assembly Hall amazed with her enviable fashion and design skills on stage. In a matter of 5 minutes, she was able to design different styles of dresses with Ghanaian fabrics.


Her victory was therefore not surprising to many who followed her from the start of the program.


 When asked what she would use the crown to do, she indicated her plans of championing a sensitization on sanitation, insisting sanitation has become a major problem to confront. She added that, she would advocate for the distribution of dusbins in some Senior High Schools and some selected communities.


Miss McCoy was the climax of the SRC week celebration of McCoy College of Education, Nadowli that was held on the 20th August, 2022.

Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
