Harmless Vid Condemns The Idea of 'Beefing' In Music.

Chepong Don-ore Paulinus, who goes by the stage name Harmless Vid, one of the popular rappers in the Upper West region condemns the idea of artists involving in "beefing" and describes it as "bad". "Beefing" is a popular term used in the music fraternity to refer to the act of using music to insult colleague artists or other persons.

Speaking to Prince Ericson, an entertainment host of Tumpaani FM on Saturday 5th February 2022, in an exclusive interview, Harmless Vid says artists who have vision and really aspire to soar higher must eradicate the act of 'beefing' in their musical career because it gives you a bad name as an artist.

Stating some reasons why he condemns insults in music is the fact that, some artists go an extra mile to insult family members of the artists they intend to 'beef' which cuts short their chances of been helped by those same people. He also says it is time wasting because you need to do underground checks on the artist you wish to "beef" before releasing the track, however the time could have been used to craft lyrics for a dhope track.

The award winning rapper describes the idea of 'beefing' to become popular as "the search for cheap popularity" and artists must desist from it and be "Showbiz wise" in their dealings, he added.

When questioned on why artists in the Upper West region are unable to reach a higher level, the Vid Nation boss opined that, the main hindrance to reaching higher levels is disunity among them (artists) because artists down here in Upper West fail to support one another to push Upper West music.

He added that his main challenge at the moment is promotion however, he believes that he getting the best rapper award in the just ended Upper West Music Awards will help boost his promotion.
