A KIA RHINO INVOLVES IN A GORY ACCIDENT


On thursday June 3rd 2021 in the Nadowli-Kaleo district, a Kia rhino carrying drinks got involve in an accident on a broken culvert on the Kandomwine/Dambah road linking the Nadowli-Daffiamah highway.

This broken culvert has recorded numerous accident cases due to the bad nature of the stretch. According to the Assembly Man for Goriyiri electoral area, who oversees the said area as part of his electoral area, Hon. Nestor Mwinterebo, "he has written several letters to the District Assembly soliciting for funds to be able to maintain the stretch since  is a major road leading to his community and it's surrounding but has still not received green light".



Part of the said road equally get flooded during rainy season which makes it difficult for market women to trade and also, difficult for students to enjoy quality education at the District Capital anytime there is  heavy downpour.



Hon. Nestor Mwinterebo who happen to be the youngest zealous assembly member in the Nadowli/Kaleo district humbly wish to extend his plead to the general public, NGOs, philanthropist and benevolent sons of the land to assist in getting lasting solution to the said challenge. Any form of support like cement, iron rodes, stones, sand or financial support will be of great assistance.

A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT CLAIMS 3 LIVES

  On September 16th, 2025 at around 11:20 am in Nadowli, A samyoung Vehicle moving from Jirapa to Techiman got into a fatal accident between an uncompleted fuel station in Nadowli along the Jirapa road close to a mechanic shop.  The Car with registration number AS-2684-16 had 18 passengers on board. 1 person who is a police officer going on a transfer was confirmed dead on the spot.  The remaining were rushed to the Nadowli District Hospital. Upon arrival at the Hospital, the medical Superintendent Doctor. Opoku confirmed two additional deaths bringing the told to 3 persons. The remaining 15 persons including kids are in a very critical condition at the Nadowli District Hospital receiving treatment.
