AZUMAH RESOURCES SPONSORED UPPER WEST INTER DISTRICT VOLLEYBALL GALA.
The two-day "gala" tournament was held in Nadowli on saturday, 26th June and Sunday, 27th June 2021.
Participating teams were; Nadowli Spring Fingers, Wa Mighty Fingers, The Hitters from Busie, Wa City Stars, Nandom Mighty Hands and Lawra Town team. The Hoppers Team from Jirapa could not make it up eventhough they registered. The two teams from Wa that's Mighty Fingers & City Stars respectively went through to the finals were Mighty Fingers emerged winners with a trophy and gold medals by beating City Stars 3:1.
Nadowli Spring Fingers were to play with Nandom mighty Hands after losing to Wa Mighty fingers in the semi finals, but Nandom couldn't show up for the 3rd and 4th match to be played, so automatically Spring Fingers were declared winners and were placed 3rd in the tournament with bronze Medals. The 1st place team won a beautiful trophy and gold medals, 2nd team won silver medals and the 3rd team won bronze medals.

Mr. Frederick Kaningen and
Mr. Alban Kaningen (Tutor McCoy college of education) were other dignitaries who came to cheer the respective teams up and also word of encouragement to them.
Mr. Moses Sumbobo who is best known by his peers as Mr Humble who doubled as Youth Activist Campaigner who happened to be coach for Nadowli Spring Fingers won THE OVERALL BEST COACH of the tournament.
Mr. Owusu Minka (Head of Administration at Azumah Resources) presented the trophy to the Altimate winners. Speaking to the teams, Mr. Minka congratulated all the teams for participating in the tournament and challenged the losing teams to do better in the next tournament. He also admonished that, Azumah Resources will continue to support in every aspect of Volleyball and also, made commitment to be the official sponsor for Upper West volleyball gala games.
Mr Paul Deo-angyi (Zion), a public figure and a social commutator who spoke on behalf of the host team and the Entire participant, congratulated Azumah Resources for being supportive to them anytime it comes to Games and other activities more especially at the time they needed support to construct the volleyball Court. He also encouraged the team to make good use of the field and also, inspired other teams to prepare adequately for the next tournament to be held in November by training hard. He equally highlighted on getting connected with other peers through every District and the Region at large. He concluded with an applaud to Azumah Resources for that overwhelming support because there are other organizations who operate within the District and could always help and have never helped. But, Azumah Resources and it's management have demonstrated to them that their doors are open anytime they knock on them.
