Some students of the University Of Education Winneba on Tuesday 27th July 2021 run for their lives after a scent of smoke alleged to be from sparkles of electrical wires which engulfed some parts of the building.

Central Campus is a part of the University which has the school of creative art. The creative art block now John A. Kuffour block is a building of four floors.

Students who were studying at the said block at around 9:32pm were spotted running helter skelter after some of the students blew alarm of an alleged fire outbreak.

This resulted to some students being injured whilst others lost some valuable items such as phones, laptop chargers among others.

The students were later calmed by the school's security around and advised to leave to their various hostels whilst they undertake investigation to the underlying cause of the stampede.
