COME TO THE AID OF MY PEOPLE- GORIYIRI ASSEMBLY MEMBER URGES GOVERNMENT, NGOS, PHILANTROPISTS

  .

 


The people in the Upper West Region of Ghana Wales for help as the region was hard hit by a torrential rainfall causing

a massive flood of destruction to the people. The disaster occurred in the night of August 13th where there was a heavy downpour overnight. 

It was a terrible incident and never before in history. All source of livelihood for the people are greatly affected and the magnitude of the destruction cannot be fathomed. Many properties are destroyed by the flood, buildings collapsed, farmland submerged and washed off, major bridges along the Trans-Ecowas road to Bukina Faso were cut off.

 Lives for the people is now a destress and so devastating. Many people are homeless, Economic activities are shutdown as the people cannot travel any longer. Many buildings for animals collapsed leading many animals dead. There is an expectancy of great famine plaguing the Region as many farms were swept off. 

The people of the affected region in grief cries for support from all Governments across the globe, benevolent individuals, philanthropic organizations, Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) etc... to come to their aid with support in any kind to sustain them in these their hard times. 


The assembly member for the Goriyiri electoral area took it upon himself and toured the entire electoral to ascertain the state of destruction and it's so heartbreaking. Attached is the list of affected persons within the Goriyiri electoral area for your kind action.
