DBI:HON SANDAARE DONATES RELIEF ITEMS TO CONSTITUENTS.



The Member of Parliament, Hon Sebastian Sandaare, yesterday, Monday, 30th August, 2021 donated some relief items to affected constituents of the  flood disaster that destroyed several properties leaving many of the constituents devastated. 

As an interim intervention, the lawmaker presented items including bags of rice, cement, towels, plastic bowls, buckets, various types of soap, exercise books and pens the people through the district NADMO director and some Assembly Members.

The items were presented at Fian in a short ceremony. Briefing the media after the presentation, he bemoaned the sad situation in the district. He said, the items presented are not adequate to take care of the havoc but would go a long way to help the affected people. He called on individuals, NGOs, government and the corporate world to come to the aid of the district. 

The NADMO director, Hon David Kunbini after receiving the items thanked  the Member of Parliament for his show of compassion to the people. He added that the number of affected people continue to increase and that more is needed to help the situation, especially those who have had their houses totally collapsed. He also appealed to other stakeholders to come to help contain the situation.


The Assembly Member for Fian Electoral area, Hon Stephen Katuole who spoke on behalf of the Assembly Members present, appreciated the efforts of the MP and added that, the intervention was very timely. He again mentioned that the physical presence and intervention of the MP in situations such as this unprecedented flood disaster is commendable.

Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
