EC's Secretary for CoMSSA UEW blames UTAG's strike action for the low turn up to their manifesto reading.

The Secretary of the Electoral Commission for the Communication and Media Studies Student's Association (CoMSSA) of the University of Education Winneba, Mr. Mustapha Yahaya puts blames on UTAG's strike for a low turn up during their CoMSSA manifesto reading for students who are aspiring to be executives for the association which took place on the 12th of August, 2021 in the University's premises.

Speaking to Fred, the official commentator for the programme in an interview, the EC's secretary, Mustapha stated that the underlying reason for the poor attendance to the programme was as a result of the strike action, because according to him, he thinks most of the students for the association have left to their various homes since lectures are currently not effective because of the strike action.

When being quizzes on his expectations for the programme, he said he could see the anticipation among those students who were present to listen to the policies of the various students aspiring for the various portfolios in the association.

CoMMSA, smallest but one of the most vibrant associations in the University of Education Winneba, has been in existence for several years today. It started its undergraduate program in 2019 and has currently got two undergraduate batches. The association on 12th August, 2021 held one of the most anticipative manifesto readings as part of the electoral processes towards electing executives for the association.

The programme was massive regardless the low attendance. Some faculty members were present to witness the manifesto reading. Among them were the Head of Department, Mr. Kwesi Aggrey and Dr. Albert Agbesi Wornyo. All aspirants put their best in elaborating their policies should they be given the mandate. The programme ended on a peaceful note with a piece of inspiration from Dr. Albert Agbesi Wornyo.
