MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR JIRAPA MUNICIPAL HANDOVER CHIP COMPOUND TO THE PEOPLE OF JIRAPA BAAZU
On Monday August 23rd 2021, the Member of Parliament for Jirapa Municipal Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilaa handed over a Chip Compound to the people of Baazu who happens to be the largest Chip compound in Jirapa.
The project was sponsored and funded by Qatar Charity through the member of parliament who happen to be former DCE after he left office and has served for two years. Qatar Charity came to Ghana in 2017 and started helping the most vulnerable in 2018.
Jirapa municipal has a population of over 111,000 people, out of these number, they have 47 functional Chip Zones. Out of these 47 functional chip zones, only 27 are having compounds, 1 hospital and 1 poly clinic and the facilities at hand is worthly inadequate to render services to the municipality.
Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilaa after he left office has not relent on the development of the District especially when it comes to health care delivery. He wrote numerous of letters to different organizations advocating for a chip compound and Qatar Charity was not left out that Will help reduce the burden of his constituent's walking all the way from Baazu, Gaapare, Moryiri and Talagono to the District hospital for health care delivery after the municipal Director Madam Florence Angsonmwine complained about hardship the people face during health care deliveries.
Qatar Charity is a humanitarian and an international Non - Governmental Organization that help the vulnerable and needy and through the effort of the MP, they Constructed a very large Chip Compound to the people of Baazu and it's catchment area to reduce the crisis they face
The Municipal Health Director, Madam Florence Angsonmwine with joy & happiness embrace the facility and thank the member of parliament & Qatar Charity for making their dream come through. She however, appeal to the MP & Qatar Charity to help the facility with electricity and water that will help patients and the community members as well. She also task the chiefs and elders to provide security and accessible road to enable in and out movement of Ambulance service to the facility when the need be.
Madam Florence promise the community the availability of midwife to be staying at the facility to provide services to pregnant women. She finally concluded appealing to the MP to help the facility with a motor bike for easy movement to other surrounding communities.
The Lawmaker, Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilaa however promised the facility with a mechanized borehole and electricity connected to the National Grid for the betterment of the unit. He also thank Qatar Charity for coming to their aid when he wrote to them.
Engineer Ismail Sualah Laari representative of Qatar Charity do indicate to support the vulnerable in the community especially the Orphans in diverse areas and has ask the honorable MP to compel their names which he added in that regards
