HON. CLETUS SEIDU DAPILAH DONATES STREETLIGHT LAMPS TO IMPROVES THE LIGHTENING SYSTEM IN SAINT JOSEPH HOSPITAL

HubThe Member of Parliament for Jirapa Municipality Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah came to the aid of Saint Joseph Hospital by helping to improve the abysmal lightening system of the hospital by providing streetlight lamps. The darkness at night was in deed  a worry for staff, students and patients in the hospital especially at night.

The Saint Joseph  Hospital which is a missionary hospital has served the people of Jirapa and others outside Jirapa since 1953. The quality of health care delivery in the hospital make patients from within and outside the Municipality to visit the facility both during  day and at night.

However, one major challenge of the hospital is its poor lightening system especially when night falls. The darkness at night could creates an enabling environment for criminals to operate. Unscrupulous people can take advantage of the darkness to steal properties of the hospital and patients at night.

The darkness also make movement at night dangerous for staff , students of Jirapa Nursing Training College and the patients in the hospital. Not only do they find it difficult to locate places they want to go but also risk stepping on some dangerous animals such as snakes, scorpions and so on.

However, all these challenges will be a thing of the past as the member of Parliament, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah donates ten (10) pieces of streetlight lamps to improve the situation.

The chairman Hon. David Yeng in the company of other constituency executives including the communication officer and Zongo Caucas coordinator presented the streetlight bulbs on behalf of the M.P

The chairman indicated that it is the dream of the M.P to help improve the general health sector of Jirapa. This he said the M.P will continue to lobby for support to develop the health facilities in the Jirapa Municipal so as to achieve the Millennium Development Goal 3.

According to the chairman, the Member of Parliament keen interest in health goes to confirm the saying that good health is above wealth.

The Medical Director of the Hospital Dr Danial Tetteh thanked the M.P for his kind gesture and assured the lamps will be put to good use which will inure to the benefit of the people of Jirapa.
