In a speech delivered by the Australian Commissioner, he thanked the Savannah Alliance and the Azummah Resources for the good work done for the people of Ieli. He indicated that, in Australia, water is never a problem for its citizens because taps have been provided for each household where their kids can drink directly from. However, when he came to Ghana, it was in the contrary but he thinks everybody deserves to have access to portable drinking water.
Among the dignitaries present were, Honourable Anthony M. Sumah, Member of Parliament for Nadowli-Kaleo constituency, Mr. Eric Banye, the Executive Director for Savannah Alliance, Mr. Paul Amoaku Atta, Azummah Country Director, Mr. Nii Adjaye Laryea, Regional Economic Planning Officer, Hon. Titus Sungbaala, Assembly Member for Nadowli East.

He indicated that after their community need assessments in the Ieli community, they noticed that, access to portable drinking water was their main problem so they called on NGOs to help them solve that problem for the community which they did. He therefore thanked Australian Aid and Azummah Resources for heading to their call to help Ieli community get portable drinking water.
He spelt out that, the borehole will serve purposes such as the problem of women walking for miles to fetch water and that school girls will now have enough time for their school works. He then entreated the community members to help in maintaining the borehole.
Hon. Anthony M. Sumah, Hon. Titus Sungbaala and the Regional Economic Planning Officer thanked the Australian Aid, Azummah Resources and the Savannah Alliance for their benevolence towards the people of Ieli. The Member of Parliament also assured the people that more of such projects are yet to come and that they will continue to cry to NGOs to come to their aid.
