Honorable Katherine Lankono confirmed as District Chief Executive for Nadowli-Kaleo District.

 


The Assembly members together with the government appointees  have on Thursday 7th October 2021 confirmed Hon.Katherine Lankono to as the District Chief Executive for the Nadowli-Kaloe District.


 The election for the confirmation of the District Chief Executive (D.C.E) for the Nadowli-Kaloe District took place at the Nadowli-Kaloe District Assembly premises.


 Fifty two turned up for the election thirty six of which are assembly members and sixteen as government appointees.


 Out of the fifty two voters, forty seven  voted Yes whiles five voted No which represents 90.38% of the total votes cast. This therefore indicates that Hon. Katherine Lankono has been confirmed as the D.C.E for Nadowli-Kaloe District.

Community Development talk show bench of Tumpaani Radio at Nadowli in the Upper West Region has discovered that a Mitsubishi brand vehicle with registration number, GV-236-12 belonging to Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate in the Nadowli/Kaleo district of the Upper West Region has not been at the post for over a year and a half but could not also be found anywhere around the facility. An investigation was initiated by the team to figure out the whereabouts of the vehicle which revealed that, the vehicle was not at post. Our investigation team began the probe by confirming from the Upper West Regional transport office that the said Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number GV-236-12 was allocated to the Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate but could not ascertain whether the vehicle was still at post or grounded. Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
