HUNGARIAN AMBASSADOR CALLS ON 1ST DEPUTY SPEAKER

 



The Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. Tamás Endre Fehér today called on the 1st Deputy Speaker and MP for Be wai Hon. Joseph Isei Owusu to discuss diplomatic ties between the two countries, spanning over 60 years. 


The ambassador spoke about Hungary's support to Ghana's education sector by awarding scholarships to 50 Ghanaians students since 2017, adding that there are plans to increase the number to 100. He emphasised that special scholarships will be awarded to students who specialise in agriculture.


The 1st Deputy Speaker expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the visit and assured him of Ghana Parliament's support and readiness to facilitate the visit of the 1st Deputy Speaker of Hungary.

The 1st Deputy Speaker drew attention to the vast lands in the northern parts of Ghana a d called on Hungary to channel some of its sponsorship activities to these areas. 


The 1st Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament will visit Ghana from the 20thto the 26thof next month.
