JIRAPA: Honourable Christine suffers third rejection after renomination on reasonable ground

 


Even though Honourable Christine Bombanye Amadu was renominated "on reasonable ground" after she failed to secure the 2/3 votes of all Assembly Members who were present and voted, Assembly members in Jirapa have for the third time rejected the nomination of Honourable Christine Bombanye Amadu as Municipal Chief Executive.


Out of the fifty-two (52) Assembly members who were present and participated in the confirmation exercise, voted 30 YES and 21 voted NO. Like in the first and second round, one 1 rejected vote was recorded.

DCE Donates to Fian KG & Primary, Breaks Ground for New Block

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama, Bussie, Issa,  Hon. James Wor , has distributed school uniforms and learning materials to students of Fian KG and Primary School as part of his efforts to support education in the district. The donation was made during a visit to the school, where he emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, noting that their future depends on their current efforts. The distribution was a sideline activity of a sod-cutting ceremony for a new KG block, a project initiated by the DCE to address the school's pressing need for more space. According to the DCE, the current KG facility is congested, and the new block is expected to provide a more conducive learning environment for the increasing number of students.
