HONOURABLE CLETUS SEIDU DAPILAH DONATES CEMENT TO HELP BUILD HOSTELS FOR HAIN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
In keeping his words true and upholding one of his agenda, "education for all", the Member of Parliament for the Jirapa Municipality, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah has acted swiftly to help alleviate accommodation crisis in Hain Senior High School.
This development would go a long way to push upward the Sustainable Development goal four, providing quality education for children.
The Hain Senior High School admits students throughout the municipality but most especially students from Hain, Chapuri, Chachaa, Mwankuri, Ping, Sabuli, Somboro and so on. Unfortunately, students in Hain Senior High School are forced to rent rooms throughout the town as the school has no hostels to accommodate them.
The situation according to school authorities does not help in proper student control and ensuring discipline. Some students report for classes late and the absenteeism among some students is noticeable.
Students also move long distances to the school at night for studies. This exposes them to all kinds of dangerous animals like snakes and scorpions as they walk through darkness.
Fortunately, students dreams of staying on campus hostels will soon be a reality as the Member of Parliament donated two hundred (200) bags of cement to help build the hostels.
The Member of Parliament made this donation after the chief and people of the Hain traditional area made a call on him to assist the accommodation situation.
The NDC party chairman, Mr. David Yeng who presented the cement on behalf of the Member of Parliament said he believes in the saying that "education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today".
He assured the chief and his people that the MP would continue to do his work with humility and that Jirapa would always have its fair share of any national cake.
The Assembly man and chief all expressed their delight for the kind gesture of the MP.
