HUNDREDS GATHER TO WITNESS VOLLEYBALL GALLA UNGOING AT NADOWLI, IN THE UPPER WEST REGION.

 


Saturday, 27th of November, 2021, has been a gratifying moment for lovers of volleyball as hundreds of people to witness one of the most anticipated volleyball galla organized by Azumah Resources Limited, a prospecting mining company in the Nadowli-Kaleo District.

The spring fingers volleyball court was crowded with multitudes from different parts of the Upper West Region to either display their volleyball talents or enjoy the euphoria of the galla.

As part of its social responsibility to the area, Azumah Resources Limited has organized this maiden volleyball galla to foster peace and unity among the youth. It is also meant to entertain the youth and keep them fit and healthy. The maiden galla is made up of seven participating teams selected across the Upper West Region.

The Spring fingers has enjoyed enormous support from the company for some time now, making it one of the best volleyball teams in the Region. The Galla provides the opportunity for the team to compete with other teams from different districts.

Even though matches have been organized and played by the spring fingers, this ongoing volleyball galla is one of the best sports events ever organized in the region. Apart from the high patronage by sports lovers and pundits, many took advantage of the event to do business because the venue almost turned into a festival ground with many selling and others socializing. A number of matches have been played already but the finals is expected to be played later in the evening of today.

An investigation was initiated by the team to figure out the whereabouts of the vehicle which revealed that, the vehicle was not at post. Our investigation team began the probe by confirming from the Upper West Regional transport office that the said Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number GV-236-12 was allocated to the Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate but could not ascertain whether the vehicle was still at post or grounded. Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
