The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the foundation, Miss Amina Kassim is a national service midwife who had the passion for charity activities since she was a student. Seeing and noticing the fact that, some school children are “handicapped” in terms of finance in their education, she thought it wise to start something that will give her the opportunity to be able to render some help as well as encouragement to such children never to pull back in their education regardless the challenges they encounter as they climb the education ladder hence the formation of the Press On Charity Foundation which was there but became active this year 2021. The name of the foundation depicts that needy students can also make it through effort and it is geared towards empowering such children.
As part of the initiatives of the foundation, there are some students which the foundation supports in school. For instance, they are currently two Junior High School girls, whose names are withheld which the foundation supports with school materials after a sever scrutiny which yielded the fact that these two students, one in form three and the other pregnant but in form two are brilliant but were at the point of dropping out of school because they do not have the upper hand to soar higher in their education.
The foundation also has on Friday 5th November 2021 launched a campaign which they named “Operation Fix the Button Campaign” at one of the primary schools in Nadowli thus Nadowli R/C primary “A”. The campaign was geared towards helping students who had torn uniforms and removed buttons. They patched uniforms of the students who had their uniforms torn and also fixed the buttons for those who had theirs removed. For those students who had their uniforms completely deteriorated, the foundation took their names so as to help them purchase new sets of uniforms. It did not just end there, members of the foundation again on Monday November 8th did a follow up to the school to ensure that no single student was in torn uniform.

Speaking to StraightNewsGh, the CEO for the foundation discloses that, they intend to extend the “Operation Fix the Buttons” campaign to the rest of the schools in Nadowli town and to near by communities. They also have the intention of identifying special students as well as students who are taken care of by single mothers who do not have the capacity to cater for their wards. After identifying such students, they will then provide them with the necessary school materials as well as special attention to help them triumph in their education. The foundation equally intends to find those single mothers with some hand work which will help them earn something that will aid them to cater for their wards.
However, she established the fact that, the major challenge that serves as an obstacle to the realization of their dreams is lack of funding. This is because she is not someone on payroll likewise most of their members so it is at times a big challenge to the foundation to bring to reality their policies and plans. They therefore call on all philanthropists and kindhearted persons to come to their aid to help promote the welfare of these needy students just as their logo goes “your kindness is someone’s hope”. Which means the kindness you show someone today can change the person’s story.
You may contact them on any of the following lines, 0546854052 Or 0547974286 should in case you need any information or wishes to support them with anything, be it materials or cash. Your ideas are equally welcomed for the promotion of the foundation.
