Image
There are several definitions to the term ‘relationship’, but for the purpose of this piece, I will be hammering on the romantic or passionate attachment by males and females. It has to do with a strong bond that exists between males and females whom after a series of examinations on each other decide to have a similarity or romantic feeling for each other. This romantic feeling is assumed to be a loving experience with which every lady or gentle man of a certain age wishes and aspires vigorously to have a taste of. However, it encompasses numerous controversies, sorrows, obstacles and agonies when there is deviation in the real meaning of the said romantic relationship. It can be a bitter experience when it is not handled with care and can be a sweet experience when it is surrounded by understanding, patience, tolerance and forgiveness. One major issue among the many that serves as a stumbling block to the full realization of a better relationship goal today is the emergence of ...

THE NEW DAWN, THE NEW HOPE FOR NURSES AND MIDWIVES

Image
Haven't nurses and midwives crave for far too long for a union, that  knew, experienced the ordeal of nurses and midwives and that will be a soother to their anguish?? Haven't nurses and midwives locked themselves in a Brownian motion in the dark directionless room in search for a union that will be the best diagnostic lens of nurses and midwives woes for far too long?? How long must nurses and midwives keep groaning in their obscure corners in search for a union that will at least offer phalanges to help a nurse or a midwife when he or she is in helpless situation or on retirement?? For how long will the ordinary nurse or midwife be callously, yet in a conspicuous manner be forever be abandoned to walk solitary whenever his or her back faces the Kilimanjaro wall while relentless monthly crazy subductions of stupendous amounts are being visited on his or her already emaciated salary in the animal name of being a member of a union?? Well, if you are a nurse or midwife(be it old,...

Valentine’s Day, a Day Marked By Flourishing Love, Affection And Gifts Sharing.

Love finds those who value and cherish it and it is effective in the hands of those who understand the ideology surrounding love. Love is a set of emotions and behaviors that is characterized by intimacy, passion and commitment. It is magical, when it locates you, the more you hide it, the more it shows and the more you compress it, the more it grows. Love is intense and is only exhibited through our behaviors towards those we love. In the book of Corinthians 13:4-7, the Bible defines love as “love is patience, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. Love never fails.” However, the definition of love can mean differently to individuals based on their interaction with the word “love”. This is understood from the soc...

Image
The Coalition For Social Justice (CSJ) is set to endorse and join the Youth Wing of the opposition New Democratic Congress (NDC) to undertake a protest march scheduled for Thursday February 10th 2022.   In a release dated 8th February, 2022 signed by their General Secretary, Awudu Ishaq, they indicated that the reason for their endorsement and decision to join the Youth Wing of the NDC in the protest is as a result of the abysmal performance of the Akuffo Addo led government over the past five years in government. They described Ghanaians of being "hookwinked, pranked and deceived into putting their hopes in a political party and president that actually cared less about the ordinary Ghanaian". They also disclosed that, the current government has borrowed than any other government in the history of Ghana and yet performed abysmally, so they think the government needs not extra revenue to be able to perform as expected. The advocating body also stated their vehement opposition...

Speaking to Prince Ericson, an entertainment host of Tumpaani FM on Saturday 5th February 2022, in an exclusive interview, Harmless Vid says artists who have vision and really aspire to soar higher must eradicate the act of 'beefing' in their musical career because it gives you a bad name as an artist. WEIGHING ALHAJI MAHAMUD BAWUMIA ON THE SCALE OF POLITICS WITHOUT PRINCIPLES

Image
Whereas, the Oxford dictionary explains politics to mean the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, I simply see politics as a contest of ideas and actors within such a contest, engage in that act with a certain ideological position characterized by principles aimed at ensuring public good and interest. In the context of partisan politics, every political party is founded on key principles and every politician is expected to hold in high esteem virtuous principles. The adoption of democracy meant that every political party must go into the political market with principles and ideologies as well as designed pragmatic approaches to advance such principles in propelling development. In the fourth republican partisan politics in Ghana, we have experienced a fierce contest of ideas with politicians taking on one another on the metrics of policy feasibility and or necessity. This is an important benchmark for the success of our democratic dispensation. It has c...
