Black Starts Wipe The Tears Of Ghanaians On E-Levy Day.
The Ghana National Senior Team, Ghana Black Stars has successfully booked its ticket to the 2022 world cup tournament to be held at Quata.
The Black Stars drew with their counterparts in both home and away. The second leg like the first record a 1-1 draw with Ghana's Thomas Partey leading the netting for Ghana. The Nigerians came from behind to equalise after they were awarded a controversial penalty.
On a day many Ghanaians are disappointed in the NPP government for passing the controversial e-levy, the victory of the black stars seems to have wiped away the tears of many disappointed citizens.
The E-levy bill was passed today in parliament after the minority staged a walk out. The minority of parliament has fought the tax policy from day one of its introduction to parliament and is still against the policy. The minority has also indicated its intention of challenging the passage of the bill in the Supreme Court over issues of quorum.
This evening, social media is inundated with congratulatory messages. Ghana is a football loving nations. Apart from many seeing it a uniting spirit, it also entertains many a youth. The average Ghanaian youth has interest in sports more than politics, perhaps the reason why the black starts performance has calmed down nerves this evening.
