Don't tax Momo, Don't tax momo" - Minority Begs Government

The government under the leadership of president Nana Akufo Addo has amended the infamous electronic transaction bill and laid same today on the floor of Parliament for consideration.

Debate on the bill is ongoing. The ranking member of the finance committee Hon Ato Forson has represented the position of the minority forcefully, describing the tax as "regressive and primitive"

He espoused that it is insensitive to tax "momo"

He concluded his debate by repeating what can be termed as a chorus "don't tax momo, don't tax momo".

The fate of the controversial policy is to be determined after the debate today.
