Hon. Dr. Sebastian Sandaare Makes Effort to Bridge Youth Unemployment Gap in DBI



 


As part of Hon. Sandaare's effort to bridge the youth unemployment gap in his constituency, a delegation of NDC party executives in Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency represented the Honourable member at a seamstress graduation ceremony at Bussie of which twenty-one (21) youth graduated. Among the dignitaries were the constituency, zonal, and branch executives led by chairman Kyegbe Halilu, Bussie Zonal chairman.

Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, the deputy communication officer who doubles as the Assemblymember for Bussie East, Hon. Gandiibu Naa Evans thanked the seamstresses and apprentices for the program and also congratulated the graduates. 

Stating the purpose of their visit, he said the exercise was in line with Hon. Sandaare and the NDC's vision of equipping youth with technical and vocational skills in the constituency and Ghana at large.

In respect to that, he reminded the gathering on the effort of  Hon. Sandaare towards youth employment by stating that, the member of Parliament launched a "Skills Development Initiative" at Fian in June 2020. The initiative, according to the communicator, equipped one hundred and twenty needy  youth with sewing machines and hair dryers to aid them learn hand work.

He encouraged the youth to embrace these skills training initiative in order to reduce poverty as well as unemployment in the constituency.

The team, on behalf of Hon. Sebastian Sandaare donated a whooping sum of thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1000.00) to the seamstress association in the Daffiama Bussie Issa Constituency.
