Jirapa MCE Inspects Second Phase Of Street Lightening

 


Hon. Nicholas Soyiri, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Jirapa Municipal has today taken a walk around town to inspect progress of work of lightening the Jirapa town. 

The Hon MCE did promise, in his Christmas and New Year Message, that he would ensure that the street of Jirapa are brightened. 

According to a statement released by the Public Relation Officer to the Municipal Chief Executive, Joseph Kontomah, the first phase of the project has been completed successfully.

The statement also revealed that the second phase which stretches from Zakpaayiri to Quantum filling station, Akoro to Jirapa Senior High School, Police Station to Community Nursing College and main roundabout to Duori-Dubai junction.

It is this second phase that the Hon Municipal Chief Executive was out to inspect.

It would be recalled that, Hon. Nicholas Soyiri in his Christmas and New Year message assured the good people of Jirapa of his commitment to ensure the streets of Jirapa town are brightened. In that same message he indicated that the project will be in phases as he was in constant touch with office of the regional Minister to get support.

The first phase was successfully completed from Zakpaayiri to roundabout, roundabout to Akoro, roundabout to police station. 

This second phase will be stretched from Zakpaayiri to quantum filing station. Akoro to Jirapa senior high school, police station to community nursing college and roundabout to Duori-Dubai junction.

The Hon. MCE noted that, the old street bulbs that are replaced are being used for street lighting in some major towns in the Municipality, whiles he still pushes for more support as his intention is to get almost all the major streets in the Municipality lightened up.
