MR DAVID FAAKUU ELECTED NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF HeFRA STAFF WELFARE ASSOCIATION.

On May 11, 2022 HeFRA (Health Facilities Regulatory Agency) went to the polls(this time around electronically, one can say e-polls) to elect its executives after the three year tenure of the old executives expired.

 Brief history of HeFRA.

 HeFRA ( Health Facilities Regulatory Agency were set by the Health Institutions and Facilities Act 2011(Act 829) . This organization/agency were set up to license facilities for the provision of public and private health care services.

Per the Act that established HeFRa, [Act 829, Section 4(d)], HeFRA  "regulates and monitors activities of a practice to determine the adequacy and standard of health care provided".

After few weeks of vigorous, peaceful campaign, the final day of the election came, a convivial and congenial atmosphere were provided for delegates across the country in the sixteen (16) regions to elect their new leaders to stir the affairs of HeFRA.

Thankfully, the elections went on seamlessly and lo and behold, the new executives were elected.

 *Mr David Faakuu* who lock horns with *Mr Thomas Gyamfi* in the chairmanship portfolio garnered 54.8% whiles *Mr Thomas Gyamfi* pulled 45.2%, and so therefore, *Mr David Faakuu* emerged and were validly declared the new Chairman elect.

Other executives elected were; 

Vice Chairman - *Mr Nicholas Okoe Akuteye* 

Treasurer - *Mr Papa Mensah* *Kwegyir-Aggey* 

Secretary - *Mr Fredua Agyemang Ofori-Atta* 

Assistant Secretary - *Mrs Mary Asamoah* 

Financial Secretary - *Mr Kweku Amaning Amofa* 

Organising Secretary - *Mr Asante Opare Addo Kwabena*.

Certainly, the outgoing chairman and his crew have done their part but HeFRA members(staffs) have vested their trust and confidence in *Mr David Faakuu* (chairman elect) and his incoming executives to further build on and uplift the staffs welfare to the zenith.

  And i having known *Mr David Faakuu* for decades, his leadership dexterity, all inclusive leadership style, his unquenchable appetite for equity and love for all, I have no modicum of doubt, that his reign will beget serenity, unity, success and forward leap in the history of HeFRA staffs welfare.

 HeFRA, deo gratias, you guys have undoubtedly made the best choice by electing a gentleman personified  who's competent, capable and he oozes love and care for fellow human beings regardless of one's tribe, race, and religion.

  Hearty congratulations to Mr David Faakuu and his colleague executives.
