THE MP FOR LAWRA CONSTITUENCY, HON. BEDE A ZIEDENG, DONATES FURNITURE AND A PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM TO LAWRA EDUCATION DIRECTORATE

 



Earlier this morning, the Hon. Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency, Bede A. Ziedeng, together with the Lawra Municipal Coordinating Director who represented  the MCE for Lawra at this ceremony, the  Lawra  NDC constituency chairman, Hon. Joshua Lotaa, and other party executives, at  a short ceremony, handed over eleven executive chairs and a public address system all together  worth twenty-one thousand, four hundred Ghana cedis(GH¢21,400.00)to the Lawra Municipal Education Directorate. The Director of the Lawra Municipal Education Service received the items on behalf  of the Directorate and thanked the MP for his swift response to her appeal for this support. In fact, the Education Director and her staff eulogized the MP for all the good works he has done so far with regards to matters bordering on education in the Lawra constituency. 

The Hon. Member of Parliament in his speech catalogued some achievements he has chalked so far with regards to the area of eduaction since being elected into office as MP for Lawra. They include the following:

1. He assisted the Directorate with an amount of GH¢2,000.00 to enable them do monitoring

2. He released an amount of Eleven thousand, three hundred and thirty Ghana cedis(GH¢11,330.00) to help feed Brifoh Senior School 2022 WASSCE candidates who have to relocate to either Eremon SEC/TEC or Lawra SHS to take their examinations this year. 

3. He has approved an amount of twenty-four thousand, two hundred and thirty - two Ghana cedis forty pesewas(GH¢24,232.40) from his common fund for the 2022 BECE mock exams in Lawra.

4. He has already supported students with  a minimum amount of One hundred and sixty thousand Ghana cedis(GH¢160.000.00) so far to help the over 160 students in the Lawra constituency pay part of their school fees. Each student received a minimum amount of one thousand Ghana cedis(GH¢1,000.00).

5.. He donated 100 pieces of mattresses to the students of Lawra SHS when a rain storm ripped off the Girl's dormitory.

6. He also donated relief items worth eleven thousand(GH¢11,000.00) to the students of Brifoh SHS when one of their dormitories was gutted by fire.

The staff of Lawra GES Directorate admitted that the MP's relationship with the office of the Lawra GES is very cordial and heartwarming as campared to past MPs. The staff of Lawra GES wished the MP long life, prosperity and God's blessings.

Aside providing these brand new executive  chairs, the MP has also refurbished  old furniture in the office of the Lawra Education Directorate.

The Municipal Coordinating Director in a short address commended the MP for his good works so far in collaborating with the Assembly to bring development to the Municipality?.

Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
