NDC YOUTH ORGANIZER CALLS ON GOVERNMENT TO FIX DBI ROADS
The NDC youth Organizer for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency has appealed to government through the District Assembly to come to the aid of the people by fixing the several washed off roads. He made the appeal while speaking to Tumpaani Fm.
In August, 2021 a heavy downpoor caused a devastating flood disaster that washed off many roads and farms in the Upper West Region. The Daffiama-Bussie-Issa roads were severely affected.
The NDC youth organizer, Desmond Tampuori mobilized the youth in Daffiama for communal labour. They particularly worked on portions of the road along Daffiama-Duong that was terribly affected. The enthusiasm of the youth and their works in that enclave attracted public attention. Former President Mahama, the current Upper West Regional Minister, the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Sebastian Sandaare all visited the area and commended the enthusiastic youth.
As part of comemorating this sad incident, the youth organizer commended the efforts of all who supported the youth to temporary fix some of the roads.
He however lamented over the seeming lack of attention to these roads that were washed off. He insisted that, so far, nothing is happening on those roads, with another rainy season worsening the plight of the people.
He therefore urged the District Chief Executive, Nadi Imoro Sanda to sit up and let government respond urgently to the plight of the people of Daffiama-Bussie-Issa.
