2024 GENERAL ELECTIONS, CRUCIAL, AND A MUST WIN FOR THE NDC; A POLITICAL ACTIVIST LETTER TO NDC DELEGATES.
Dear Voting Youth Delegates - NDC,
I bring you all, fellow Delegates, a heartwarm greetings from my humble chalet, faraway in the Northern part of Ghana - Lawra, Upper West Region, to be precise. Needless to ask, how are you all faring in these moments of unprecedented severe strife, for I am all here with you and I am also feeling it big time but permit me to still ask anyway. Fellow Delegates, notwithstanding all that we are milling through, I humbly invite you all to deeply ponder upon the below following, as we itch towards our internal party congress;
1. Fellow Delegates, going into the most crucial elections ever in our annals, I mean, the 2024 general elections, we more than ever, need a strategic, honest, fearless, trustworthy, grassroots plan-man, party security conscious man, revolutionary minded, and a rabid NDC loyalist to spearhead the green [🇰🇼] army into the battlefield without any little form of fear or favor, and also without the propensity of delibrately, either covertly or overtly, acting lackadaisically to trade off our burgeoning victory in recoup of his stipends sent/spent before and during the elections.
2. Fellow Delegates, it is not the size of the man in the fight that matters, but rather, the size of the fight in the man.
The person who leads our battle(s) matters a lot and therefore I pray you all to vote to elect who leads our battle(s) consciously and wisely. Our great party, the NDC, is deluged with capable men and women, but certainly not everyone of them is a born cut out battlefield leader. So, get the difference right away before they approach you. Remember, the battlefield leadership portfolio is not meant for the chicken-hearted. Mr Alexander, the great, aptly posited, that, "an army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep". To put it simply, the NDC is better led by one who is ferocious and battlefield minded than to be led by one who is well soft-spoken person.
3. We need a youth leader who will be sensitive to intels and come in swiftly handy with a strategic, credible, and workable plans to effectively execute the interest of the NDC. We need a leader, who will be firm and bold - fronting the youth in the thick of affairs regardless of the uneasiness of the atmosphere induced by our adversary.
4. We desperately need a youth leader, who will be binged on unifying the ground, igniting hope, and instilling confidence and boldness in the youth to execute unmeasurable successful works, rather than one acting cowardice by sitting in his swinging chair or flying abroad to have amorous-warm-bath with his family at the critical time that the youth are salivating for a leader to front the battle and say he is a leader because it is one of his duties to be away in pursuit of resources to be remitted to some selected individuals to execute his main task he is voted for. Such leader should never again be given the opportunity to lead us on anything in the NDC vis-Ã -vis ground mobilizations.
5. Get me right, money is part - in fact, a necessity - of the equation in this battle fight but the possession of it (money), does not define a cut out battlefield leader we the youth are dearly in need of going into the 2024 general elections and so, regardless of the elephant size of resources of a man who is not a cut out battlefield leader, will only yield but zilch result, except regressions and frustrations.
6. But with a youth leader, who is credible, trustworthy and strategic, if even without money, will still see a considerable number of sponsors and donors sprinting up to oil his engine. And this certainly is the youth leader we are in dire need of in the 2024 general elections.
7. So, fellow Delegates, i am humbly presenting to you, and praying you all, most especially, the Youth Organizers and TEIN Presidents across the various Constituencies and Tertiary Institutions respectively to not betray your conscience, spirit, instincts, and confidence by taking anything as a giving in substitution for the 2024 burgeoning victory by not voting to elect our Snr. Comrade, Brogya Genfi, to spearhead us into victory. Snr. Comrade Brogya Genfi, was one of you - a former Ashanti Youth Organiser - and had discharged his leadership then with superlative excellence. He understands the youth terrain and the challenges therein and needless to say, that, he is well equipped with youth mobilisation skills. He is more than the best diagnoser and prescriber of the youth problems and solutions respectively and certainly cannot be denied the opportunity to lead us.
8. To paraphrase H.E. President Kufuor, that, it is far better and rewarding to be a porter of a party in power than to be an honourable leader of a party in opposition. So, it is better for us to vote to elect a youth leader who will work assiduously to bring the party into power than to vote to elect an honourable youth leader who will retain us in opposition.
For this reason and for the bigger interest of the NDC, I humbly consign my fear and the amorphous neutral position to voice out the patent, palpable yet searing truth we all see and know. Best of luck to all regional youth organizer contestants.
