SPEAKER BAGBIN SUPPORTS CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUITY




The Rt. Hon. Alban S.K Bagbin, Speaker of the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic has made a cash donation of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc50,000.00) to the Chiefs and people of the Upper West Region through the Center for National Culture (CNC) in support of efforts being made to revive the cherished culture and traditions of the people.

He made this donation during the climax of the Upper West Cultural Week Celebration which came off yesterday at the Jubilee Park in Wa, through a delegation of staff from his office.

The Upper West Regional office of the CNC is currently preparing a team to participate in the National Competition of Traditional Dance and Culture at Cape Coast next month.

An investigation was initiated by the team to figure out the whereabouts of the vehicle which revealed that, the vehicle was not at post. Our investigation team began the probe by confirming from the Upper West Regional transport office that the said Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number GV-236-12 was allocated to the Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate but could not ascertain whether the vehicle was still at post or grounded. Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
