U/W: 10 young entrepreneurs received funds from Igniting Dreams Program.

 


The 5th edition of the Igniting Dreams was held in Wa at Sem-B Logde in the Upper West Region on the 7th of January 2023. 10 young entrepreneurs across all the 5 regions within the Northern belt were granted seed capitals and business development training to enable them scale up their business ventures. 

 This year's program organised by the Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI) was under the theme"Wealth creation in the 21st Century", the program brought over 300 youth for education and mentorship on the said theme.


AmiShea company Ltd, a Savannah regional based business ventures who is into processes Shea into soap, butter and briquettes won Gold Prize of Ghc 10,000 in the Igniting Dreams Pitch contest. UniDev and Royal Avielle Ventures also won silver and bronze worth of Ghc 7000 and Ghc 5000 respectively. IT Hub emerged as the third runner-up and took home Ghc 3000. Royal Avielle Ventures who won the bronze prize of Ghc 5000, clinched the 'People's Choice' prize of Ghc 5000 whilst all other fellows who contested took home Ghc 1000 each to enhance their businesses.


 Executive Director of Coalition for Positive Impact, Maazu Bayuoni, hinted that "the Igniting Dreams program is intended to empower and develop young leaders and entrepreneurs to enable the creation of more jobs and economic opportunities for young people in the Upper West Region".

He added that, the Igniting Dreams program seeks in providing business development support and seed funding to accelerate the ideas of young entrepreneurs after taking them through a period of training.


Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI) had also partnered with other organizations and donors like Noni Hub and Sangu Delle Foundation as the main funder who's donates financial to the organization every year. 

Igniting Dreams program according to the CEO has been, challenge in resource mobilization, he lamented the unwillingness of organization to support the activities of the organization and Young Entrepreneurs in the country but according to him who could be of help to young businesses. 

As a non-governmental organization, funding has always been the major challenge of Igniting Dreams program he added.


 Igniting Dreams program, aims to support and nurture early-stage startups. with each startup receiving a month of intensive business development and training and the opportunity to compete for seed funding.

who came from a variety of industries, including agro-processing and technology, and received guidance and mentorship from a team of experienced business professionals, to help create more jobs to young people in order to decrease the highly unemployment ratio in Ghana.
