Queen of Peace Senior High School's P.T.A Constructs Borehole For The School

The Parents Teachers Association (P.T.A) for Queen of Peace Senior High School of Nadowli in the Upper West Region, as part of its support for development of the school, has constructed a borehole to solve water issues in the school.

Speaking to the media during the official handing over of the borehole to the school, on Wednesday April 26, 2023, the P.TA chairperson Mr. Lankor Orlando states that, there have been several challenges that bedevil the school and notable among them is inadequate manual water pumps which results in water crisis anytime there is power outage, hence the decision of the P.T.A to mobilize funds from parents to construct a borehole for the school.

He however stated that, the P·T·A has since supported the school in numerous ways such as extension of lights and water to their P.T.A teacher's bungalow, provision of street bulbs, equipping the school's security personnels with torches, safety boots, rain coats among others. Mr. Lankor Orlando concluded by thanking all parents for their corporation and sacrifices towards the development of the school and urged for their continues support.

Meanwhile, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Abaare Ib-kuu thanked the school's P.T.A for their nemerous supports to the school especially the construction of a manual pump for the school. He therefore assured the P.T.A of insuring good maintenance practice to the borehole and also pray that it should not end there but they (P.T.A) should continue supporting the school.

On the same vein, the senior prefect who doubles as the S.R.C president of the school on behalf of the students body expressed his heartfelt gratitude to their P.T.A for constructing a borehole for them which according to him is going to help the students as well as reduce the water problems they face anytime there is power outage since the school currently has only one manual pump.
