D.C.E For Nadowli-Kaleo District Commissions a CHPs Facility For Da Community

 


The District Chief Executive (D.C.E) for Nadowli-Kaleo District, Hon. Catherine Lankono has on Thursday, 11 May, 2023 commissioned a CHPs facility for Da, a suburb of Nadowli in the Nadowli-Kaleo district of the Upper West Region.

According to sources gathered by StraightNewsGh the community was using a teachers' quarters as the health facility but has now gotten a facility which includes living rooms for health workers of the community.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the Nadowli-Kaleo District Health Director, Ms Phoebe Balagmum applauded Da community for the communal service towards the development of the community. She cautioned that the CHPs facility should not be considered as a small facility, however, the community members should still note that the CHPs facility does not have the mandate to administer certain medications, hence, severe cases would be handled at the district hospital in accordance with their health rules.

Meanwhile, the Honourable DCE, Hon. Catherine Lankono who handed over the facility thanked the community for their patience, for the fact that the project delayed in completion and also for their support for the health workers who have sacrificed to serve the community. She however entreated the community members to continue supporting the health workers in the community as well as ensuring a good maintenance culture on the facility.

This according to her can be done by giving  effective security to the staff against robbery and other social vices.

Community members expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by the government through the district assembly and called for more developmental projects to the community.

Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
