WA CITY STARS CLINCHES VICTORY IN THE AZUMAH RESOURCES GHANA LIMITED TOURNAMENT 4TH EDITION

The tournament, now in its 4th edition, witnessed the convergence of eight spirited teams, each vying for the coveted championship title. The diverse array of contenders included Supreme Fingers of Wa, Mighty Fingers of Wa, City Stars of Wa, Infinite Mercies from Lawra, The Hoppera of Jirapa, Mighty Hands of Nandom, Lambusie Town Team, and the defending champions, Spring Fingers.


The competition unfolded in a two-day spectacle, with electrifying matches gracing both Saturday, 11th November, and Sunday, 12th November. Among the standout performers were the resilient City Stars, who displayed unwavering prowess by securing victory over Mighty Hands to secure their spot in the finals. Conversely, Spring Fingers demonstrated their unyielding determination by triumphing over Supreme Fingers in a hard-fought battle, earning them entrance into the championship match.


Adding a touch of grace and finesse to the event, the ladies from St. Augustine Senior High School and Queen of Peace Senior High School partook in a friendly game, radiating the spirit of camaraderie and unity that defines the essence of sportsmanship.


The culmination of the tournament saw an exhilarating faceoff as Wa City Stars and Spring Fingers, the epitome of sports prowess, clashed in a riveting final showdown. In a testament to unwavering grit and skill, Wa City Stars secured a narrow victory, etching their name in the annals of the tournament's history.


As the dust settled and the echoes of victory reverberated, the event paid homage to exceptional performances. Supreme Fingers claimed the 3rd position, embracing the bronze medal as a testament to their commendable effort. The valiant Spring Fingers secured the 2nd position, adorned with the glistening silver medal, a testament to their unrelenting spirit.


However, it was Wa City Stars who claimed the spotlight, seizing the 1st position and emerging as the undisputed champions of the tournament. Their remarkable journey culminated in a well-deserved triumph, underscoring their unwavering dedication and formidable prowess on the court.

Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament
