Azumah Resources and Rainbow Foundation Donate Library Books to Schools in Nadowli/Kaleo District and Jirapa Municipal
Nadowli/Kaleo District and Jirapa Municipal, Upper West Region - Azumah Resources, in partnership with Rainbow Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization based in Accra, has donated over 8000 library books to select schools in the region.
These books include: Mathematics, Science, English and Novels.
The beneficiary schools include:
- Nadowli D/A Primary and JHS
- Nadowli R/C Primary A&B
- Kalsegra Primary and JHS
- Nanga Primary
- Charikpong Primary & JHS
- Takpo Primary & JHS
- Jirapa Ganaa Memorial KG, Primary and JHS
Azumah Resources, focusing on education, recognizes the importance of equipping students with quality learning materials. Country Director, Mr. Hector Nyinaku, emphasized that the donated books will significantly improve students' reading skills.
"We urge students to utilize these resources judiciously," Mr. Nyinaku stated.
Azumah Resources also provided training for teachers on library management, ensuring the sustainability of the initiative.
Mr. Martin Tang deputy Director for supervision representing the Education Director of Nadowli, expressed gratitude to Azumah Resources for their consistent support, citing previous contributions such as:
- Provision of portable water
- School renovations
- Award schemes for BECE candidates
He encouraged parents and guardians to handle the books with care and ensure their children utilize them effectively.
Mr. Martin Yiripare, the Account and finance manage who spoke at Ganaa Memorial in the Jirapa municipal thanked Azumah for their timely intervention and promise the kids will make good use of the books.
He also said other schools within the municipality will also benefit from this benevolent support from Azumah which will go a long way enhance reading in Jirapa
This collaborative effort between Azumah Resources and Rainbow Foundation demonstrates the power of corporate social responsibility in enhancing education in Ghana.
