TECHIMAN SOUTH & NORTH YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

 


The Techiman South & North Secretariats of the National Youth Authority led  by Madam Abigail Fosuaa Boateng in Collaboration with African Skills Hub(ASH) held a  flamboyant Youth Engagement Program on Wednesday, 19th March 2025 @ Bonokyempem Hall, Techiman. This was to access the impact of the program on the beneficiaries, strengthen participatory and also entice potential beneficiaries to appreciate the benefits of the employable  agripreneurial  skills training models under implementation. 


This event was graced by the Bono East Regional Head of NYA- Mr.Emmanuel Ahlodza, Mr. Robert Kwame Owusu- ASH Ghana Programs Manager, 



Mr Emmanuel Amoah- Techiman Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Mr.  Joseph Adomah -Techiman Metropolitan Director of NCCE, Mr. Ibrahimah Yussif- Assistant Director 11 and a dedicated NYA Volunteer of the Techiman North Municipal Assembly and many more. In all, One Hundred and Thirteen (113) beneficiaries; all ladies were in attendant.


 The beneficiaries expressed the transformative changes that the program set  to bring on board in managing their businesses as well as the strategies for gaining economic empowerment.

Community Development talk show bench of Tumpaani Radio at Nadowli in the Upper West Region has discovered that a Mitsubishi brand vehicle with registration number, GV-236-12 belonging to Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate in the Nadowli/Kaleo district of the Upper West Region has not been at the post for over a year and a half but could not also be found anywhere around the facility. An investigation was initiated by the team to figure out the whereabouts of the vehicle which revealed that, the vehicle was not at post. Our investigation team began the probe by confirming from the Upper West Regional transport office that the said Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number GV-236-12 was allocated to the Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate but could not ascertain whether the vehicle was still at post or grounded. Lambussie Young Stars Volleyball Club Smashes Host Team to be Crowned Champions in Azumah Volleyball Tournament

In an attempt to foster unity and promote sporting activities in the Upper West Region, Azumah Resources Ghana Limited a gold exploration company located in Nadowli has organized a two-day  volleyball tournament on Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, 2024 at Nadowli in the Nadowli-Kaleo district of the Upper West Region of which Lambussie Young Stars emerged the overall champions after going through unbeaten in the tournament. .  The 2024 edition of the tournament happens to be the fifth edition of the tournament of which nine volleyball teams participated and they included Wa Supreme Fingers, Lawra Infinite Mercies, Jirapa Hoppers, Nadowli Spring Fingers, Wa City Stars, Wa Mighty Stars, Tumu Great Fingers and Nandom Mighty Hands.  Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tournament, Mr. Selorm Seshie, Manager of Minds Geology at Azumah Resources Ghana Limited highlighted that, the main purpose of the annual volleyball tournament is to foster good relationship amon...
