Fian Youth Association Supports Fian Health Center



Representatives of the Fian Youth Association recently visited the Fian Health Center to discuss challenges affecting healthcare delivery with staff and donate essential items, including mattresses, bed sheets, a working table, chairs, and a wall clock.


The youth leaders assured the facility of their continued support and called on government and the District Assembly to expand and upgrade the health center to a polyclinic, citing the increasing patient load and inadequate space. They noted that patients often have to be treated on the bare floor due to limited capacity.


The Fian Health Center serves several communities and is a critical facility for emergency services, accident patients, and referrals. The youth group's donation and advocacy aim to improve primary healthcare in the district.


The staff appreciated the youth group's support and thanked the community for their interest in the facility's development .

Community Development talk show bench of Tumpaani Radio at Nadowli in the Upper West Region has discovered that a Mitsubishi brand vehicle with registration number, GV-236-12 belonging to Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate in the Nadowli/Kaleo district of the Upper West Region has not been at the post for over a year and a half but could not also be found anywhere around the facility. An investigation was initiated by the team to figure out the whereabouts of the vehicle which revealed that, the vehicle was not at post. Our investigation team began the probe by confirming from the Upper West Regional transport office that the said Mitsubishi vehicle with registration number GV-236-12 was allocated to the Nadowli/Kaleo Health Directorate but could not ascertain whether the vehicle was still at post or grounded. Nadowli District Hospital's ANC Unit Hosts Inspirational Dinner and Awards Ceremony

The Unit of Nadowli District Hospital organised a dinner and awards ceremony to recognise the outstanding contributions of its staff members. The event, which brought together key stakeholders, was aimed at boosting staff morale and encouraging excellence in service delivery. The occasion was graced by notable guests, including the outgoing District Health Director, Madam Phoebe Balagumyetime,  Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel Opoku Amponsah, and Assembly Member for Kalserah Electoral Area, Mr. Boniface Kpan. A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT CLAIMS 3 LIVES

  On September 16th, 2025 at around 11:20 am in Nadowli, A samyoung Vehicle moving from Jirapa to Techiman got into a fatal accident between an uncompleted fuel station in Nadowli along the Jirapa road close to a mechanic shop.  The Car with registration number AS-2684-16 had 18 passengers on board. 1 person who is a police officer going on a transfer was confirmed dead on the spot.  The remaining were rushed to the Nadowli District Hospital. Upon arrival at the Hospital, the medical Superintendent Doctor. Opoku confirmed two additional deaths bringing the told to 3 persons. The remaining 15 persons including kids are in a very critical condition at the Nadowli District Hospital receiving treatment.
