Cletus Seidu Dapilah, the Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency has put smiles on faces of many constituents by drilling boreholes to several communities lacking access to portable water  Apart from the drilling of boreholes, the MP has continued with the repairs of all broken boreholes within the municipality.  In a simple ceremony that was held at Wuoyiri community center on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, leadership of the NDC, Jirapa chapter explained the rationale for this mass drilling of boreholes by the Member of Parliament.   The works of the Alhaji Alhassan Gbangu especially most recently where all the eleven Constituencies benefitted from his philanthropic work within the confines of  National Democratic Congress is something worth commending. The NDC financer has singlehandedly donated quality motorbikes to all the eleven Constituencies within the Upper West Region.   The NDC Election Director for the Upper West Region, Mr. Dibkuu Ishmael, honoured  his promise to renovate the party offices in the three(3) orphan constituencies in the Region: Nandom, Lambusie and Sisala East. He made this promise at the handing-over ceremony of the party's regional offices that he also renovated. On Monday 12th February, 2024 The Nadowli-Keleo District Assembly found itself at a standstill as the election to choose a new Presiding Member failed to yield a conclusive outcome. The two contestants, Hon. Braimah Yakubu Assembly member for Nadowli East and Hon. Ngminnie Asinye Noah a Government Appointee, both fell short of the required two-thirds majority needed to secure the position, leaving the assembly in a state of limbo. With 36 Assembly members and 16 Government Appointees making up the voting body, the election was keenly contested between the two candidates.
