The District Chief Excutive for the Nadowli Kaleo, madam Kate Lankono, together with some constituency executives of the ruling National Patriotic Party was in Toyaga and Pennintobo to cut sod for the construction of a Kindergarten and JHS block respectively.   The NDC youth Organizer for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency has appealed to government through the District Assembly to come to the aid of the people by fixing the several washed off roads. He made the appeal while speaking to Tumpaani Fm.  In August, 2021 a heavy downpoor caused a devastating flood disaster that washed off many roads and farms in the Upper West Region. The Daffiama-Bussie-Issa roads were severely affected.  The NDC youth organizer, Desmond Tampuori mobilized the youth in Daffiama for communal labour. They particularly worked on portions of the road along Daffiama-Duong that was terribly affected. The enthusiasm of the youth and their works in that enclave attracted public attention. Reports from the Auditor-General reveals that three non-staff members of the Ministry of Finance received a total sum of GHC 1,112,895.96 as salaries for the period January 2020 to December 2021. This is contained in the 2021 Auditor-General's Report presented  to Parliament. Paragraph 95 of the report states that during the audit exercise, the "personal files and names on the nominal roll of the Ministry could not be traced." Meanwhile, Regulation 86 of the Public Financial Management Regulation, 2019(L.I 2378) mentions that, a "Principal Spending Officer of a covered entity shall ensure that only names of personels eligible to receive payment for work done are kept on the payment voucher and keep records of the nominal roll of the covered entity in a manner that ensures that the correct amount of emolument is paid." A 23 year old level 200 student of the McCoy College of Education has the bragging right of being the crown owner of their famous SRC sponsored beauty pageant. This year's contest saw seven beautiful young ladies battling it out in an unprecedentedly fierce contest.  The multitalented dark-skinned lady however distinguished herself beating her closest contender Lawrencia Abea.  Benedicta got the thousands who gathered at the McCoy Assembly Hall amazed with her enviable fashion and design skills on stage. In a matter of 5 minutes, she was able to design different styles of dresses with Ghanaian fabrics. The 1st runner up for this year's Miss McCoy has made a clarion call on philanthropists, NGOs, Faith Based Organizations and other stakeholders to support her to impart lives in society.   The former SRC President of McCoy College of Education, Mr. Dominic Angbangna in his address to the students of the College, stated that one  of the surest ways of making teacher education a catalyst for national development is that presevice and inservice teachers should see teaching as their work and not their job. He said this when  he was addressing the audience on the climax of their 6th SRC Week celebration dated 20th August, 2022 in the school's pavellion. He added " when you see teaching as your work, you are committed to it,  you own it, you make it part of you and you will do everything possible to protect it.
