DBI:HON SANDAARE DONATES RELIEF ITEMS TO CONSTITUENTS.

The Member of Parliament, Hon Sebastian Sandaare, yesterday, Monday, 30th August, 2021 donated some relief items to affected constituents of the  flood disaster that destroyed several properties leaving many of the constituents devastated.  As an interim intervention, the lawmaker presented items including bags of rice, cement, towels, plastic bowls, buckets, various types of soap, exercise books and pens the people through the district NADMO director and some Assembly Members. The items were presented at Fian in a short ceremony. Briefing the media after the presentation, he bemoaned the sad situation in the district. He said, the items presented are not adequate to take care of the havoc but would go a long way to help the affected people. MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR JIRAPA MUNICIPAL HANDOVER CHIP COMPOUND TO THE PEOPLE OF JIRAPA BAAZU

On Monday August 23rd 2021, the Member of Parliament for Jirapa Municipal Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilaa handed over a Chip Compound to the people of Baazu who happens to be the largest Chip compound in Jirapa.  The project was sponsored and funded by Qatar Charity through the member of parliament who happen to be former DCE after he left office and has served for two years. Qatar Charity came to Ghana in 2017 and started helping the most vulnerable in 2018. Jirapa municipal has a population of over 111,000 people, out of these number, they have 47 functional Chip Zones. Out of these 47 functional chip zones, only 27 are having compounds, 1 hospital and 1 poly clinic and the facilities at hand is worthly inadequate to render services to the municipality.  Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilaa after he left office has not relent on the development of the District especially when it comes to health care delivery.   With just eight months in office as Member of Parliament, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah has continued where he stopped as DCE. He  continues to invest in health sector in the Jirapa Municipality for quality health care delivery for his people. In deed, this cements the saying that health is wealth. Today, the people of Baazu are grateful as the MP. Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah hands over a health facility to them. This facility is to help provide health care delivery at the door steps of the people of Baazu and other communities. It would help reduce the burden of travelling over long distance to the main health facility in Jirapa to attend to basic health problems.   .   The people in the Upper West Region of Ghana Wales for help as the region was hard hit by a torrential rainfall causing a massive flood of destruction to the people. The disaster occurred in the night of August 13th where there was a heavy downpour overnight.  It was a terrible incident and never before in history. All source of livelihood for the people are greatly affected and the magnitude of the destruction cannot be fathomed. Many properties are destroyed by the flood, buildings collapsed, farmland submerged and washed off, major bridges along the Trans-Ecowas road to Bukina Faso were cut off.  Lives for the people is now a destress and so devastating. Many people are homeless, Economic activities are shutdown as the people cannot travel any longer. Many buildings for animals collapsed leading many animals dead. The Member of Parliament for Daffiama, Bussie, Issa, Hon Sebastian Sandaare has described as unfortunate, a video being circulated where an Anglican Priest is seen kissing young ladies and describing same as a holy kiss.  According to the legislator who is also a medical doctor by profession, the act is not a normal and acceptable practice and he doubts whether it is in the Anglican Church. Describing the act as immoral and dangerous to the health of those involved, he says the Priest should be given a medical examination to ascertain whether he is normal and healthy. He made the comments on the GBC 24 Focus program on Tuesday, 18th August, 2021, monitored by straight news. The Rv. father is being bastardized on social media,  for what many consider as immoral and a breach of covid-19 protocols.

AGRIEVED PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS DEMONSTRATE TOMORROW.

  A Coalition of aggrieved public sector workers are set to stage s thunderous demonstration tomorrow against the 4% public sector salary increment. The aggrieved workers see the increase as inadequate to minimise the cost of living in the country. The aggrieved workers are also not pleased with Union leaders for agreeing to the 4% increase, saying that did not reflect the welfare and interest of public sector workers.  As part of the arrangements, the Ghana police service released a statement, stating its willingness and readiness to provide adequate security for the demonstrators.

EC's Secretary for CoMSSA UEW blames UTAG's strike action for the low turn up to their manifesto reading.

The Secretary of the Electoral Commission for the Communication and Media Studies Student's Association (CoMSSA) of the University of Education Winneba, Mr. Mustapha Yahaya puts blames on UTAG's strike for a low turn up during their CoMSSA manifesto reading for students who are aspiring to be executives for the association which took place on the 12th of August, 2021 in the University's premises. Speaking to Fred, the official commentator for the programme in an interview, the EC's secretary, Mustapha stated that the underlying reason for the poor attendance to the programme was as a result of the strike action, because according to him, he thinks most of the students for the association have left to their various homes since lectures are currently not effective because of the strike action. Bussie Assembly Member Lights Health Center

The Assembly Member for Bussie West, Hon Antuomwine Prosper has intervened timely for the Bussie Health Center for procuring and donating a security light bulb for the health center. The facility has been complaining of the lack of security light, culminating dimness around the area at night for some time now. As an interim intervention, the Hon Assembly Member made an appeal to one Mr Jonas, popularly called "bosing man" who has assisted him financially to procure a security bulb for the facility. The Assembly man and Bosing Man donated the equipment to the facility on Sunday, 8th, August, 2021.  The Assembly man used the opportunity to commend staff of the facility for their continuous sacrifices despite the numerous challenges facing the facility. NDC CADERS CORPS HELD A MINI CONFERENCE IN NADOWLI-KALEO

  On August 5th 2021, NDC CADETS held a meeting at Nadowli to discuss the way forward in revamping NDC to come to power in 2024. Representatives from Jirapa, Daffiama, Bussie, Issa and Nadowli-Kaleo came together to deliberate on a roadmap to reorganizing the Party and the Youth towards 2024.
